What am I doing right now?
Right now I’m enjoying a quiet moment alone listening to the sounds of the ocean. Sitting in a comfortable chair, feeling the warm sun on my bare legs.
A soft breeze against my skin.
Blue sky and the ocean as my view.
I feel lucky, blessed and incredibly grateful.
Though I don’t always feel this way, its quiet moments like this that allow me to truly appreciate all that I have to be grateful for.
Choices.
I choose to follow a difficult but very rewarding journey. Instead of 9-5 security and all that goes with that life.I choose to follow my passion for photographing people and the moments that matter to them. There are moments when the struggle. and challenges of trying to figure out how to make a living at my passion when I think I’ve maybe made the wrong choice. Then I remember that this journey has led me to many exotic and beautiful places, to a wonderful and loving partner and now a beautiful daughter that we spend way too much time mesmerized by. I get the privilege to share and document the happy moments in people’s lives. I can’t think of a better way to spend my days.

Days when the challenges feel overwhelming.
I tire of trying to figure out how to make a living at my passion.

The Isle of Pine
These photographs are a beach on the Isle of Pines. Isle of Pines is an island located in the Pacific Ocean, in the archipelago of New Caledonia, an overseas collectivity of France. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen and I’m so lucky I was able to come back here with our daughter today. The water was perfect and after lots of swimming, she is one happy baby!
